Downed power poles on the northwest side caused nearly 300 Tucson Electric Power customers to lose service Thursday.

According to the TEP outage map, service is expected to be restored by 11 p.m.

Joe Barrios, a spokesperson with TEP, says a semi-truck made contact with an overhead line and pulled it down, damaging a pole.
