POTHOLE PATROL: Tucson's roads improving

Posted

Research shows that Tucson roads are improving.

According to the national research group "Trip," Tucson ranks 35th out of 70 major cities in the United States.

Thirty percent of Tucson's roads are considered poor.

Back in 2013, the city had the fifth worst major roads in the country.

Proposition 409 funds, which have been pumping $100 million into roads since 2012, have helped improve things.

Road issues are being fixed faster and more effectively, but problems will always continue to pop up. For instance, viewer Bailey Wherry alerted us to a rough patch on Hearthstone Drive near Golf Links.

If you have a road issue, email a couple of pictures, along with your contact information, to share@kgun9.com.
