TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson police say two men died after a Tuesday wreck.

Police say the crash, which involved a motorcycle and a car, happened at 6:30 p.m. near Speedway and Van Buren Avenue.

Witnesses told police that a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle was traveling at high speed eastbound on Speedway when a black 2010 Chrysler 300 was driving north on Van Buren. The car and the motorcycle crashed in the intersection.

The motorcyclist, 40-year-old Brandon Vincent Cleveland, and the driver, 26-year-old Abner Tovar Ortiz, were both pronounced dead the scene.

Police say Ortiz was not wearing a seatbelt, and the motorcycle Cleveland was riding had been reported stolen. Cleveland was wearing a helmet.
