TUCSON, Ariz. - One man was killed and another was injured at a south side apartment complex Wednesday.

Tucson Police say the shooting happened in the middle of Rancho Del Mar apartments, 6200 S. Campbell Ave.

24-year-old Marco Ormsby has been identified as the man who died.

Police say Ormsby and an unknown man attempted to rob another man at gunpoint. During the robbery, the victim started yelling for help and his relative came out of a nearby apartment, and started firing at the two suspects.

Ormsby and the victim were both hit in the gunfire. Ormsby returned fire and tried to run away, but collapsed.

The second suspect left the scene.

Police say Ormsby was still alive when officers got to the scene, but was later pronounced dead.

The victim is in his early 30s and was taken to the hospital to be treated for a number of bullet wounds. Police say he is in serious but not life-threatening condition.

No one else was hurt, and no one has been arrested.
