Tucson police are investigating a homicide on the westside Wednesday.
Jose Ramon Lopez, 43, was found dead in a car in the 1000 block of Colorado Street and Columbia Ave. shortly after midnight.

According to Sgt. Pete Dugan, calls about gunshots in the area. originally came in around 11 p.m. Police investigated but didn't find anything. around midnight, neighbors called police about a suspicious vehicle with its lights on and engine running in the street.
The victim was found in the passenger seat of the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
The car had been reported stolen on the eastside in October.
No suspects are in custody. The gang unit is investigating the case.
