South Tucson police have made in connection to a homicide on Friday morning.
According to Lt. Jeff Inorio, the scene is at the Econolodge, 3020 S. 6th Ave.

Suspect ran from the motel, but police caught the man a few blocks away. They believe this is a domestic dispute and no one else is involved

Police say the people involved were a "transient" couple staying at the motel for the time being and both have had a history with police.

Around 5:20 a.m., a man called 911 and said he killed his girlfriend, who is in her 50's. Officers found a dead woman in a hotel room with obvious signs of trauma, from possible stab wounds.
The man is in custody and has been arrested.
