Tucson police are investigating the eastside apartment complex murder of 24-year-old Cassandra Yates.
Police say the call came in at 6:45 p.m. Sunday from 7671 E. Tanque Verde Road. Yates was shot inside an apartment and the suspect, her husband, fled the scene. Yates died of gunshot wounds at the hospital.
Police say the victim and her husband lived at the apartment complex, and the couple was visiting a woman who also lives at the complex when the shooting happened. The woman they were visiting remained at the scene and cooperated with detectives.
Those with information should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
