Tucson police identified a woman who died in a Friday car wreck on the southside.

Police say 20-year-old Michelle M. Martinez died when a car she was riding in was involved in a two-vehicle wreck at Tucson and Drexel at about 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14.

Drivers of both cars suffered minor injuries.

Police say a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix was traveling northbound on Tucson Boulevard and turned left on a green light in front of a 2012 Mazda minivan heading southbound.

The Mazda hit the Pontiac's front passenger door, where the Martinez, who was not wearing her seatbelt, sat.

No citations have been issued or arrests have been made.

A headline on an earlier version of this story said it was a man who died in the wreck.
