Tucson police identified a pedestrian who died after he was hit by a car in September.

Police say 56-year-old Adam Chavez was injured in a wreck in the 4800 block of South Country Club Road at 9 pm. Sept. 13.

A 2017 Hyundai Forte was heading northbound on South Country Club Road as Chavez was crossing the street. He was not in a crosswalk.

The driver tried to swerve to avoid Chavez, but hit him. The driver cooperated with police and was not cited.
