TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson police identified a motorcyclist killed in a Monday wreck.
Police say 26-year-old Marco Antonio Sanchez died in the 6500 block of East Grant Road after he got into a wreck with a car.
Witnesses told police that a 2018 Kia Soul was heading westbound on Grant and turning left into a business. Traffic in the median and center lane of Grant stopped to allow the Kia to turn.
Sanchez was riding eastbound on Grant and weaving in and out of traffic. As the car made the turn, Sanchez hit the car. He was wearing a helmet at the time.
The Kia driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Inebriation was ruled out, but speed might have been a factor in the wreck.
No citations or charges have been issued.
