Tucson police arrested a man who was parked in front of an eastside home Monday while carrying a gun.
Police say the man was in the 5300 block of East 29th Street. He was armed with a handgun and had the engine of his white pickup truck running.
Police closed 29th Street between Craycroft and Beverly and evacuated three nearby homes.
SWAT and hostage nogitators talked the man via a public address system. At 7:30 p.m, he got out of the truck and surrendered to police.
Ezekiel Frias, 23, was found to have been driving a truck stolen from Maricopa County last month. He was booked into Pima County Jail and faces the following charges: Prohibited possessor, two counts of possession of a dangerous drug, unlawful use of a means of transportation, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI and an unrelated misdemeanor warrant.
