TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson police closed a midtown intersection Tuesday after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a wreck.

The entire intersection of N. 1st Avenue and E. Yavapai Road will be shutdown for a serious-injury pedestrian collision.

Police warned motorists to avoid the area of First Avenue and Yavapai Road. The area was reopened at around 10:30 a.m.
