TUCSON, Ariz. - A midtown record shop announced it will close after 40 years in business.

In a post on its Facebook page, the business is accusing the city of forcing its closure due to eminent domain.

The business is located at 2432 N. Dodge Blvd. The city is acquiring the property for the Grant Road improvement project.

Tucson Department of Transportation spokesman Mike Graham says the city is not forcing PDQ out of business.

"PDQ is 100 percent incorrect that the city is forcing them to go out of business," Graham told KGUN9.

Graham said the city is offering relocation assistance to both the owner and tenant.

"They are choosing to go out of business," he said.

"We love Tucson and wish to thank each and every one of you for your support and patronage over these 40 wonderful years," the PDQ Facebook post says.
