TUCSON, Ariz. - We're hearing from the lieutenant who had his three-day suspension overturned by the Pima County Merit Commission.

After months of testimony and evidence, the Merit commission found senior command staff lied during the hearings.

Lieutenant Joe Cameron had appealed his suspension -- saying he's being targeted for speaking out about what he calls wrongdoing by senior command.

"At my agency, we need to have a certain standard. We need to not be caught up in that category. So it should be important to the taxpayers. They've never accused me of lying. What they accused me of is I won't be quiet," said Lt. Cameron.

The largest deputies union joined in on the call for an outside agency to investigate the perjury charges.

Cameron's attorney, Mike Storie, told KGUN, "We're also asking that the County Attorney's Office place all three senior staff members on the Brady List, which routinely done to officers who are found to be untruthful."
