PCSD investigates deputy-involved shooting at bowling alley

TUCSON, Ariz. — Pima County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a deputy-involved shooting at a bowling alley.

According to the department, the shooting happened at Fiesta Lanes, 501 W. River Road, at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Sheriff Napier said deputies made contact with a man who they learned was in a stolen vehicle.

After a struggle ensued, the suspect produced a weapon, leading to one of the deputies firing their weapon at him, Napier told KGUN 9.

PCSD says the suspect in this incident has been identified as 41-year-old John Lingo.

Lingo is under arrest and charged with several felonies, including attempted murder, auto theft and weapons misconduct.

He was taken to the hospital following the shooting, where he is recovering.

No deputies were injured during this incident.

This investigation is ongoing.
