PCC, UA offering grants to low-income students

Posted

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - It's a proud moment when a child goes to college in a family unable to send a child to college before.

Now Pima Community College and University of Arizona will be able to help more students and families have that experience.

PCC and UA have received more than $1.3 Million in Federal grants to help low-income, potential first-generation college students enroll in the two schools.

Students will qualify by enrolling in special programs while they are still in High School.  They will receive tutoring, career counseling and participate in college-related workshops.

We will have more on the program later today on KGUN9 News.
