Police arrested 35-year-old Ryan Secor, who faces second degree murder charges in the death of his 41-year-old fiancee, Mary Blankenship.

A parking lot just east of Speedway and Kolb was shut down Saturday night after officers responded to reports of a shooting.

According to Sgt. Dugan with TPD, police arrived on the scene and located Blankenship with gunshot trauma behind the Lowe's Home Improvement Store.

Secor, who was with the Blankenship during the shooting told officers that a group of men approached the two and were asking for cigarettes.
