Pima Animal Care Center is looking for people willing to house about 100 dogs exposed to pneumovirus.

Kristen Auerbach, the director of animal services as PACC, says the dogs aren't sick but they need to be in isolation..

"We have about 100 dogs who are healthy, but have been housed in the same kennel area as a dog that got sick," Auerbach said. "This means these dogs are facing two to three weeks of strict isolation if we cannot find alternative housing for them."

Participants will be asked to avoid dog parks and pet stores to avoid spreading the virus.

Those who would like to house a dog should call 724-7222 or email Liz.Cardarelli@pima.gov.
