TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A grand jury has returned an indictment on a woman who was arrested for allegedly shaking a 10-month-old baby she had been babysitting.
34-year-old Jennifer Taylor is facing two counts of Child Abuse.
Detectives say Taylor was babysitting at her family friend's home in the 12000 block of Mesquite Crest Way on November 17.
OVPD says Taylor called 911 advising paramedics the girl went limp, was wheezing and was unconscious. Emergency crews airlifted the girl to UMC.
KGUN9 obtained a warrant that states Taylor initially denied hurting the child, then the day after the reported incident she admitted to shaking the girl out of frustration and her head hit the back of a dining room chair.
Taylor called 911 a half hour later.
The girl's parents told detectives that the girl was happy and healthy when they dropped her off for day care.
Taylor is out on bond and due back in court next month.
