Nogales police say a 29-year-old woman and her six children who were thought to be missing have now been found.
Police say Keagan Jones Miera, 29, and her children had last been seen entering the U.S. at the DeConcini Port of Entry at 9:22 p.m. Aug. 21 before they were contacted Tuesday. They had not been seen or heard from since. The children's names are Isaiah Guzman, Kitra Guzman, Isaac Jalapa, Izikio Jalapa, Ismael Jalapa and Siria Miera.
Sgt. Robert Fierros of the Nogales Police Department says the mother and children, who are U.S. citizens and reside in Nogales, took a trip to the Phoenix area without telling anyone.
