Nogales police arrested an armed robber who allegedly stole $300 in merchandise from a Walmart Friday.
Police say 21-year-old Rio Rico resident Dylan Matthew Patton carried a knife and gun when he robbed Walmart and drove off with a woman in a grey sedan with an obscured license plate.
Police stopped the vehicle in the 1700 block of Mastick Way and arrested Patton, as well as 26-year-old Green Valley resident Andrea Joyce McDonald. Police found a seven-inch blade and a loaded .40 caliber Glock 23 handgun with a chambered round. The couple's 5-year-old child was also in the car.
Patton was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail and faces charges of aggravated assault with a weapon, shoplifting, and disorderly conduct. McDonald faces charges of assault, shoplifting and disorderly conduct , was released and retained custody of the child.
