A man accused of kidnapping and killing a 65-year-old woman was found dead by suicide in Pima County Jail Wednesday.
According to the Pima County Sheriff's Department, 43-year-old Norman Schrank III killed Sachiko McClurg and kidnapped his estranged wife, 40-year-old Jeni McClurg earlier this month.
Schrank was arrested and booked into jail on charges including first-degree murder and kidnapping.
Guards found Schrank in his cell at 4 a.m. Wednesday. After attempting to resuscitate him failed, Schrank was pronounced dead. Homicide detectives ruled the death a suicide.
Those with information on the whereabouts of Sachiko McClurg, whose body has not been found, should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
