A man died in a shuttle wreck on southbound Interstate 19 frontage road at 10:28 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a shuttle van carrying five people -- four men and a woman -- rolled on the frontage road at KM market 48.

The other four people in the vehicle, including the driver, were taken to Banner University Medical Center for evaluation.

The four others have moderate to severe injuries.

One of the passengers reported seeing the driver fall asleep at the wheel before the wreck.

After the driver lost control, the shuttle went across the dirt shoulder and rolled to the west side of the frontage road.

There were no signs of alcohol or drugs on the driver, according to Sgt. Stephen Kafton with DPS.
