MARANA, Ariz. (KGUN) — The Marana Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened near Cortaro Road Saturday afternoon.
On April 10, officers responded to a parking lot in the area of 8040 N. Cortaro Road at the Ross Store around 12:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting, Marana Police said.
It was learned that two men were involved in an argument that turned physical, during which the two had separated, and one of the men was then shot in the abdomen, according to MPD. Both men possessed firearms during the incident.
Police said both men were at the scene and spoke with detectives.
The investigation remains ongoing.
The case will then be turned over to the Pima County Attorney’s Office to be reviewed.
No charges have been issued.
