A 47-year-old man and his girlfriend escaped a fire in his westside home late Tuesday night.
According to Tucson Fire, the call came in at 10:22 p.m. from the 1400 block of West Ontario. The man spotted the fire in the back of his house, then alerted his girlfriend and left the house with her. Red Cross is assisting the victims.
Crews had the fire under control at 10:33 p.m.
There were no working smoke alarms in the home.
The cause is under investigation.
