UPDATE: Suspect arrested in Tohono Transit Center stabbing

UPDATE (3/14):

The Tucson Police Department announced they have arrested a suspect connected to a fight that left a man with serious injuries at the Tohono Tadai Transit Center earlier this month.

On March 13, police arrested 38-year-old Brian Thomas Babb. He was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex on charges of Aggravated Assault and Attempted Murder. He is currently being held on a $750,000 bond.

The original incident occurred just after 8 a.m. on March 4 at the transit center located at 4540 N. Stone Ave. Officers responded to a fight between two men, where one sustained sharp-force injuries. The suspect originally left the scene before police arrived.

The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries and is in stable condition. Police identified Babb as the suspect after following up on tips and leads.

Tucson Police confirmed in a statement that just after 8 a.m., officers responded to the Tohono Transit Center for a fight between two males where one male sustained sharp-force injuries.

Responding officers searched the local area for the suspect, who was not found. The victim has been transported by ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries and is now stable.
