A man in his late-20's is dead after a gunfire exchange in the parking lot of a midtown hookah bar lounge. It happened early Friday morning, according to Tucson police.

Tucson Police say the call came in around 2:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of Speedway, just west of Swan.

Some kind of altercation between the victim and an unknown number of suspects led to the shooting, according to TPD.

TPD says they do not have a suspect or suspects in custody at this time but detectives do have some investigative leads.

TPD says when officers arrived on scene there was a large number of people in the parking lot and the man who died was laying on the ground with obvious gunshot wounds.

Police administered aid until Tucson Fire personnel were able to get into the area, according to TPD.

Police ask that you call 88-CRIME if you believe you know or saw anything.
