Tucson police are investigating a shooting death that took place in midtown Sunday.
Just before 6:30 p.m., officers responded to the 4700 block of East Linden Street. They found a man suffering from gunshot trauma. He was transported to Banner University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Police are withholding his identity pending notification of next of kin.

Police say the victim was visiting the home, and two Hispanic men known to others arrived at the scene and argued with him over property, resulting in the shooting. The suspects fled the area and are at large.
The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Eric Noriega.
