Tristan Beardsley was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison for manslaughter Monday in connection with the 2016 murder of 15-year-old Sephaul Booker.
He received 223 days of credit for time served.
On November 14, members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force located Beardsley and took him into custody without incident.
Beardsley has been booked for First Degree Murder, Armed Robbery, Aggravated Robbery and Aggravated Assault.
In May 2016, police responded to the scene of a homicide in the 3700 block of East 4th Street.
Officers arrived and located a juvenile male with obvious signs of trauma. The juvenile was pronounced deceased at the scene and he was identified as 15-year-old Sephaul Booker.
Detectives responded to the scene to continue the investigation. At the time, detectives were looking for possibly two Caucasian or light-skinned Hispanic males who are in their late teens to early twenties who were associated to a white or light colored small to mid-size sport utility vehicle.
Detectives are still investigating and are asking anyone with information to please call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
