TUCSON, Ariz. - A Tucson man accused of threatening to rape and kill U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff faces a federal trial next month.
According to court documents, Jan Peter Meister was indicted in October after leaving a threatening message on Schiff's voicemail Oct. 1.
Schiff, a Democrat who represents California in Congress, has served as an impeachment manager during President Donald Trump's impeachment trial.
Meister was indicted Oct. 23.
His trial is set for 1:30 p.m. March 9 at U.S. District Court in Tucson.
