Lizard Fire growth stymied

Firefighters continue to manage the lightning-caused Lizard Fire near Dragoon, which has grown to 15,142 acres as of Wednesday morning. The lightning-caused blaze started June 7.

Evacuation orders remain in place. Threatened structures include the Baptist Church Camp.

The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management is assisting with the Coronado National Forest blaze.

Five hotshot teams and 25 engines are responding. In total, 638 firefighters are at the scene. The fire has 64 percent containment.
