TUCSON, Ariz. - Former ITT Tech students who owed money in student loans will get a break due to a settlement in Arizona and 42 other states.

Attorney General Mark Brnovich said his office secured $3.98 million in debt relief for 412 former ITT Tech students statewide.

Across the nation, 18,000 former ITT students will split up $168 million.

ITT Tech shut down enrollment and filed bankruptcy in 2016 when Student CU Cuonnect CUSO, LLC was investigated for offering $189 million in abusive student loans to ITT students between 2009 and 2011.

Students who want to see what their rights are in the settlement can call 602-542-7732 or email Faith.McLoone@azag.gov.
