This month, Good Morning Tucson anchors are checking out some of the hottest lunch spots in town.
Today, Samantha, April and Big Al visit Poco & Mom's Cantina, 7000 E. Tanque Verde Road. To learn more about the restaurant, visit its website.
Here's an excerpt from the segment:
April: Good morning, everybody. Welcome to our last stop on our Good Morning Tucson: Out to Lunch edition.
Samantha: Poco & Mom's on Kolb, and they are known for their green chile.
Al: You know what? I want the Silver City because it has a little bit of everything, I hear.
April: All right, who's ready to eat?
Samantha: May I please have the breakfast burrito with baked potatoes, eggs, green chiles and cheese?
April: Your special, the one you said you liked.
Kim: We started in '99 over at Pima and Beverly. And then in 2004 we purchased this building and then we've been here ever since.
Samantha: It's like, very Tucson community oriented. Why do you think that is?
Kim: Um, I think that we just created an environment where people feel comfortable and they come in and eat really good food. If you enjoy what you make and enjoy what you'll do, it'll show.
Samantha: Oh yeah!
Samantha: The sauce is amazing.
