The Arizona Game and Fish Department is warning the public to stay away from sick wild animals they encounter.

The department is citing three recent reports involving foxes and a skunk, which often carry rabies.

The cases include:

A rabid skunk bit a woman March 26 in her SadleBrooke garage.

An ill fox was found March 28 in a Picture Rocks pool.

An ill fox found March 30 at a home porch near Sweetwater Drive.

Officials say those who are bitten by sick animals should seek immediate medical attention.

If you see a rabid animal, you should call Game and Fish at 623-236-7201.
