Four rabid foxes found in Cochise County

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The Cochise County Sheriff's Office is warning rural residents of the county to be on the lookout for rabid animals after an infected fox was found in Portal.

The USDA confirmed the grey fox, which was found in a yard under the front porch Dec. 1, had rabies. It was euthanized after the test came back positive.

Officials have confirmed three additional cases of grey foxes with rabies in the Portal/Chiricahua Monument area.
