Former Tucson teacher sentenced for possession of child pornography

A former Tucson teacher was sentenced to 87 months in prison for distributing and possessing child pornography. 

According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Arizona, Ryan Bono previously pleaded guilty on two counts of distribution of child pornography. one count of possession of child pornography, and one count of knowing access of child pornography.

An investigation in 2017 revealed Bono was distributing sexually explicit images of children online using file-sharing software.

The U.S. Attorney's Office hundreds of images and videos depicting sexual abuse of children was found.

Bono coached and taught at the the Math and Science Success Academy in South Tucson.
