Firefighters rescued a woman stranded in water on the northwest side Tuesday morning.

According to Northwest Fire spokesman Brian Keeley, the motorist is stuck near Silverbell and Benjamen.

Crews responded to a 911 call from a woman trapped in a car in fast-moving water. The car came to rest on the shoulder of the roadway, where a rescue team walked to the vehicle and helped the woman out of her car. She was not injured.
