Firefighters put out an apartment blaze caused by a lightning strike Tuesday night.

According to Anne-Marie Braswell of Golder Ranch Fire District, crews from Golder Ranch and Northwest Fire battled the fire, which started at 7 p.m. at 8851 N. Oracle Road.

Lightning struck a palm tree, which spread to the structure. Crews -- including 21 firefighters -- contained the fire to two apartments and no one was injured. The fire caused $10,000 in damage.
