Firefighters put out carport blaze

Fire crews put out a westside carport blaze Monday.

According to Tucson Fire, the call came in at 3:33 a.m. from the 800 block of West Calle Ventura. Heavy orange smoke and an orange glow were coming from the carport.

A family of nine escaped uninjured but were displaced by the fire.

The blaze was under control within 18 minutes.

The cause and damage are under investigation.
