Firefighters are patrolling the perimeter of the Lizard fire to ensure containment lines are holding.
The fire is currently estimated to have burned 15,230 acres and is 80 percent contained.
The lightning-caused blaze started June 7.
The Burned Area Emergency Response Team (BAER) has been assigned to the incident.
The Coronado National Forest is under Stage 3 fire restrictions for the next several days with a possible storm front arriving next week.
