Firefighters put out an eastside church fire early Thursday morning.
Tucson Fire says the fire was at the Tucson Apple Tree Church, 4741 E. Broadway. Eight units and 21 firefighters battled heavy smoke and flames coming from the windows and eaves of the building.
The church was empty and no one was injured. The cause is under investigation.
