A man suffered life-threatening injuries in a grass fire in the 4600 block of East Rex Road Wednesday.
Rural/Metro crews put out the blaze, which was in a homeless camp.
The patient was treated and transported immediately to a Tucson area hospital.
According to John Walka with Rural/Metro, there was a report of a possible second patient in the area. A search was conducted for that possible patient but nothing was found.
The cause is under investigation.
