Fire burns in Sierrita Mine

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A fire burned Monday at the Sierrita Mine.

According to Freeport-McMoRan spokesman Eric Kinneberg, the blaze started at 11 a.m. in the secondary crusher unit at the mine, which is south of town.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was injured.
