NOGALES, Ariz. — Officer Jesus Cordova was posthumously awarded the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Law Enforcement Award.
VFW Post 10188 in Tucson nominated Ofc. Cordova.
The award was presented to widow, Alyssa Cordova.
The award recognizes Cordova's outstanding career, professionalism, and his service to the community.
Nogales Police Department thanked VFW 10188 from Tucson.
Cordova was killed in the line of duty in April 2018.
