Evanger's is recalling its "Hunk of Beef" canned dog food.
The company says some cans tested positive for pentobarbital, a drug used for euthanasia in high doses.
Cans being recalled have an expiration date of June 2020.
Most of the supply has already been eaten. One dog has died and another five have gotten sick due to the contaminated food.
Pet owners can return cans to the place of purchase for a refund.
