A man has died from a two vehicle collision that happened Tuesday morning just after 7:30 a.m. on East Aviation Parkway and South Kino Parkway.
Detectives from the Tucson Police Department Traffic Investigations Unit were able to determine the man's car broke down approaching the Kino overpass in the median lane. The man's car was stopped in the middle of the lane and he activated his hazard lights.
The woman driving the second vehicle struck the man's vehicle from behind. Speed and impairments appear to be factors in this collision. The woman was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The driver who died from this collision has been identified as 23-year-old Hugues Ishimwe.
The woman driver of the second vehicle is still receiving treatment at the hospital.
