Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers arrested six people following a pursuit on Interstate 10 near Picacho Thursday.
According to DPS spokesman Kameron Lee, the pursuit started in Tucson at 8:45 a.m. Troopers stopped the vehicle with spikes near milepost 212. The driver and passenger bailed out of the car and ran off into the Pecan Orchards.
DPS took six suspected illegal immigrants into custody and turned them over to the U.S. Border Patrol.
The pursuit started as an attempted traffic stop, but the vehicle would not pull over. Another trooper spotted the vehicle near Marana and followed it.
The driver faces charges of unlawful flight, resisting arrest, reckless driving and impeding a public throughfare.
