Pima County Sheriff's deputy Travis Rice will not face criminal charges for the deadly shooting of a man at a resort in December.
Rice responded to a disturbance at the Lodge at Ventana Canyon Dec. 12, where he confronted a man to question him about the incident. The man attacked the deputy and Rice shot him. He was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead.
The Pima County Attorney's Office announced Wednesday that it would not prosecute Rice. The case is still under administrative review at the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
