TUCSON, Ariz. - Pima County Sheriff's deputies responded to a swiftwater rescue south of town Friday.
According to deputy Daniel Jelineo, a woman and her child were stuck in a vehicle in a wash near Old Spanish Trail and Rincon Creek.
As of 7 a.m. Friday, there was one deputy on scene and another on the way. The water was up to the tire level but not flooding the vehicle.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area.
