Pima County Sheriff's deputies investigated two deadly wrecks Thursday.
According to the department, one wreck was near Sandario Road and Tortoise Trail. That involved a vehicle and a bicyclist.
The cyclist -- 60-year-old Lauren Harvey -- was pronounced dead at the scene at about 6:30 a.m. She was riding southbound on Sandario when she was hit by a vehicle also headed southbound. Harvey was wearing a helmet. No citations were issued.
Another wreck, at Wetmore and Romero Roads, involved a box truck and a pedestrian, a woman who was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities later identified her as 63-year-old Arlene Matus.
A media release with further information will be forthcoming when the information is available.
Traffic was blocked at the intersections during the investigations.
